    The AdvantageData Security Plug-in is used to authenticate users to Advantage Data, employing two-factor authentication in conjunction with the user’s username and password. The Advantage Data Security Plug-in must be downloaded and installed to access Advantage Data.

    For IT Departments

    1. Download the installer by clicking the following link:
    2. Locate and Run the downloaded file: AdvantageDataSecurityPlugin.1.4.zip
      • Hint: key combination = CTRL + J
    3. If you are logged in as the end-user, run the file: AdvantageDataSecurityPlugin.1.4.msi
    4. In the plugin setup wizard, select ‘Install’ until you see the ‘Finish’ button.
    5. Once you complete the setup wizard, you must completely restart all web browsers. In some cases, you may be required to restart your PC.
    6. Chrome Users:
      • Upon opening Chrome, you should be prompted to add the Advantage Data extension. Select ‘Enable extension’.
      • In Chrome, navigate to “chrome://extensions/” and verify “Advantage Data Security Plugin” is listed and set to ‘enabled’.
      • Otherwise, navigate to http://goo.gl/J9Vrru and select ‘Add to Chrome’.

    MANUAL IT INSTRUCTIONS:

    1. Download the IT installer package by clicking the following link:
    2. Locate and extract the downloaded file AdvantageDataSecurityPlugin.1.4.zip to a static, local, user accessible location. *remember the folder location/structure.
      • Hint: key combination = CTRL + J
    3. Bring up a non-elevated command prompt (as the end-user) and run:
      • regsvr32.exe C:\\npAdvantageDataSecurityPlugin.dll
    4. Chrome Users:
      • In addition to steps 1-3, in the extracted installation files folder, navigate to the Chrome folder and run the file: nmh-register.bat with administrative rights.
      • Navigate to the Google Web App Store http://goo.gl/J9Vrru and select ‘Add to Chrome’.
      • In Chrome, navigate to “chrome://extensions/” and verify “Advantage Data Security Plugin” is listed and set to ‘enabled’.
      • You must completely restart all web browsers. In some cases, you may be required to restart your PC.

    I am receiving an error message that says "invalid computer / MAC address". What does this mean?

    Some features of the workstation require Flash. While Chrome 55 and higher will prefer HTML5 over Flash, we have an instruction manual for download that outlines 5 ways to remedy problems that occur do to the absence of Flash. Download the instructions here.
